Three months later..

Wow, it's been a while since I've updated this blog, and with good reason. I moved into my own apartment in November, and have yet to get internet. I will be getting internet this month, though, huzzah! Anyhow, here's a play by play of the last few months.

November

Max turned three months old. He rolled over from back to front and sat supported. He started holding his toys and reaching for things. Nice, not a very eventful month.
Not a very good picture of homeboy, but it's the best I got of when he was 3 months.

December

Four months old. Rolling both ways and eating baby food. Pushing himself up on his hands while on his belly and trying to talk to mama and dada. An absolute joy, and has a tooth! And, of course, he had his very first Christmas!
He loves his exersaucer. He is also using his walker now.

January

Five months old, ALMOST sitting. Two teeth and scooting all over the place!

The time is flying by. Everyday he is doing something new and exciting. His current loves are fuzzy blankets, his butterfly rattle, and green beans. He is absolutely the light of my life and the best thing that has ever happened to me. We're thinking we're gonna start trying for a brother or sister in a year or so. Once I have internet in my apartment it will be easier to update this. It's hard being a working mom, going all day, I hardly have time to think. Until next time.

2 month appointment

Little man had his two month pediatrician appointment today. He had to get his shots (before anyone asks, yes, I nearly cried) and wasn't too thrilled.

Poor guy was exhausted and pouted when he got home.

He was 8 pounds 5 ounces at birth, 20 and 1/2 inches long. At this appointment he weighed 11 pounds 6 ounces, and was 24 inches long. Where is my baby going?!

Two months old!

Max is officially two months old today! It doesn't feel like it has been two months since I gave birth to little man. -Sigh- time is just flying by. He's smiling a lot now, trying to laugh, and I'm pretty sure he noticed his hands today! He has his two month appointment at the doctor tomorrow to get his vaccines. I am not looking forward to this at all. When they pricked his heel for his PKU test when he was 5 days old his cry broke my heart and I just wanted to close my eyes and cover my ears. I'm interested to know how long he is and how much he weighs, because he has been growing like crazy! Here are some two month pictures!

I'm so glad it's October. We visited my mom in Lakeland and she has all over her Halloween decorations out, looking great like they always do. I think this weekend I wanna carve pumpkins, maybe let Max put his hands in pumpkin guts. Gutting a pumpkin means pumpkin seeds, and I love those little suckers.

Drum Circle

Well, after years of planning, my stepmother finally managed for us to get our family portraits done! We took them in a park next to a little pond, on a fence, on a bridge yadda yadda yadda. It was nice, I'm sure the photographer got some great shots and I can't wait to see them! Anyway, we took Max to his third drum circle ever Sunday night. His first he slept through, his second we didn't get any pictures of, but we got some this third time! If anyone isn't sure what a drum circle is, let me fill you in. The drum circle is every Sunday night down on Siesta Beach. A bunch of people come out with their drums and play them. People (including little kids, so cute!) hula hoop in the middle, interpretive dance, belly dance, do glowsticks, all sorts of neat stuff. We try to go every Sunday night. We want to make it a tradition for Max because the people are just so damn nice out there and it's a really good time.

I love living by the beach. It's something I can give to Max that I didn't have. I mean, what kid DOESN'T want to live by the beach? It's free fun! I can't wait to take him in the water for the first time. Surely next summer will be a blast. With that being so far ahead, I've been turning my attentions to something equally as exciting and closer, the holiday season! Ah, my first Thanksgiving and Christmas as mama. Didn't think it would be this soon! Expect more picture posts than you can probably handle.

Introductions

Hola. You've found your way here, now how's about a little backround on the author of this here blog. I have a pretty colorful past, definitely far too much to write here. I'll keep it relatively short, not only to save you the headache, but because Max could wake up from his nap at any moment.

I was born in Michigan on May 5th, 1990 to young parents. My mom 18, my dad 17.  Flipped flopped between Florida and Michigan for a few years before finally settling here permanently around 1998. The constant moving made it hard for me to make any real friends that I would get to keep. Even when we were in Florida permanently we still moved from city to city. I went to nine different elementary schools. In 2000, we moved to the city where I would spend the next 10 years, Lakeland. I finally got to keep some friends for more than a couple of months. I made some of my dearest friends in high school. I graduated in June 2008, went right to work at the SPCA of Polk County. Partied pretty hard for the next year. June 2009 would put the events into motion that would change my life.

June 2009 I met Michael. He was my sister's good friend and we ended up at a party together or something. After that we found that we were calling each other to hang out at least 4 times a week. We went on the crazy "on a whim" trips to Daytona and St. Petersburg. I had a boyfriend at the time, and when we were at parties I found myself more interested in talking to and hanging out with Michael than spending time with my boyfriend. I knew pretty shortly after that I wanted to be with Michael. I broke up with my boyfriend and Michael, our friends, and I went on doing our own thing. It wasn't long before me and Michael were "official".

December 2009 I found out I was pregnant. August 13th, 2010 this guy showed up.

Here it is, present day, October 2010. Maxwell Adam is now nearly 2 months old. Max, Michael and I are living in Sarasota, FL, about to move into our own place. Now that you are up to speed, we can get this blog rolling!
